Support Group Meeting
Our April NE Amputee meeting will feature a practical and engaging fall safety demonstration led by Rachel and Gemma. They will guide attendees through techniques to improve confidence, prevent falls, fall safely and also safely get back up after a fall. This session is designed to be supportive, informative, and suitable for amputees of all mobility levels. We look forward to welcoming everyone for a hands-on workshop that promotes safety, independence, and confidence.
Summer Walk
Summer Walk – Seaburn
We are pleased to confirm that our planned summer walk will take place on Sunday 28 June at Seaburn.
The walk will be approximately 5 kilometres, following a circular route at a steady, accessible pace. We aim to include a scheduled stop for refreshments and snacks to allow everyone the opportunity to rest and chat.
The route is currently being finalised.and we hope to confirm arrangements, including recommended parking locations soon. Full details will be published on the website once confirmed.
We hope many of you will be able to join us for what should be an enjoyable and inclusive event.

NE Amputee Christmas Wreath Workshop
Join us for our final event of the year as we team up with Wiloby ROCS to create some fantastic Christmas Wreaths.
At our Christmas Wreath Workshop, you'll have the chance to work in pairs, get creative and make your very own beautiful wreath to decorate your home for the holidays. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, this workshop is perfect for everyone and all equipment is provided.
Whether you want to create a beautful wreath, or just have a coffee and a catch up, we’d love to see you there.

Surfing Event at South Shields Surf School
Join us at South Shields beach for a free adaptive surf session courtesy of South Shields Surf.

Feel free to come along and enjoy the weather and the fresh sea air, even if you don’t want to participate in the surf lesson.
We will then be heading to the Sand Dancer pub.

Event Two
We can’t wait to welcome you all to our next meeting! As ever, this will be an informal get together and catch up with teas coffees, biscuits and cake. We will be joined by our newest committee member Jak Smith. Jak is a Psychological therapist with Clarity Psychology ans he is super excited to join us and to get to know you all at th next meeting.
Event One
Join us for our first event of 2025. We are very excited to get up and running for our second year! As with all of our meetings, this will take place at The Hub (Upper Green Mall) in the Metrocentre. We will have time for peer support and catching up over a cuppa and some cake. This will then be followed by a short session with a therapy focus, with the exact topic to be announced soon! This part of the session will be optional, so feel free to join in if you’d like or otherwise continue with your cuppa and catch up.
